My name is Mike Tinghitella and I am very excited about going into my fourth
year as the Bagdad Elementary School Principal. I began my first seven years
at a rural K-8 school in a small town. I was a math specialist and four-sport
coach. I learned quickly that students learn in different ways and that you
need to find the most effective methods for each individual student. I also
understand the importance of developing the entire child and cultivating
their gifts and talents so they can shine in their unique ways. This will be my
32 nd year as an educator and I am eager to use that experience to support
our students, staff and families with a positive learning culture that ensures
the success of every student.
I am very blessed to be happily married to my beautiful wife, Kimberly, for 31
years. She has taught Kindergarten for 10 years and 1 st grade for one year.
We have three sons, who have been active in sports and are continuing their
education since their high school graduations. All 3 of our sons are currently
completing their college degrees. My wife and I are both career educators
and are very grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the beautiful Bagdad
