What is the PTO?
The Bagdad PTO is an organization that was formed in 2013 by a group of parents and teachers. The organization is designed to work as partners with the administrators, faculty and staff to ensure that Bagdad Schools continue to be a great place for our children to grow and learn.
Our mission is to not only raise money for the school, but also supplement and enrich the educational experience of all students attending Bagdad Schools by providing a forum for interactions and understanding between parents, teachers, students, and their families. Our goal is to provide a framework for coordinating fundraising and volunteer efforts for the purpose of purchasing instructional items and funding events, activities and school enhancements that would not otherwise be provided within the school budget.

Any parents, guardians, or staff members in the attendance area are eligible and encouraged to join the PTO. Bagdad PTO is your opportunity to become involved in the many activities that are sponsored by PTO. Membership is a terrific way to meet other parents with similar interests and goals.

Your children need you to be actively involved with their lives. Being involved with the PTO show that you value their school and education. In addition, working with PTO gives you another avenue to become an essential member of your child's educational team. It provides you with the opportunity to work along side teachers and faculty, with valuable impact.

The PTO Board consists of elected Executive Officers, the School's principals, and Teacher representatives.
How is PTO funded?
How is PTO funded?
The Bagdad PTO is a non-profit, 501c3 organization. We are funded by donation and fundraisers. There is an annual tax-deductible fee of $5 for PTO membership. In addition, the PTO sponsors various fundraisers throughout the year. We realize that due to busy schedules, many people are not able to donate as much of their time as they would like, so PTO has categories of giving. All donations are tax deductible and FMI Employees can have any donation over $25 matches, which triples the funds!

The PTO needs you! Joining the PTO annually is the easiest way to help. Another way is volunteering. Our programs, projects and fundraisers require hours of manpower and a wide variety of skills. There are opportunities to help from home or school. There is no amount of time that is too small!
