I hold a Bachelor's degree in Public Health and work under the direction and supervision of the district administration and Yavapai County School Nurses to manage the health office and provide the day-to-day care for our students’ health needs, including state mandated screenings, and individualized care to students with chronic health conditions.

We work with the school community to provide health and wellness services to keep students healthy and attending school to ensure your child's academic success.

We provide: 

• Basic First Aide and Illness Management

• Medication Administration

• School Screenings 

• Immunization Requirements

• Individualized Care

Parents/Guardians:

Hearing and Vision screenings are vital to your child’s academic success in school. Screenings

are initiated at the beginning of the school year in conjunction with the Arizona State Law and

Department of Health Guidelines. These screenings are not a diagnosis but rather an indication

that further evaluation by your child's doctor is recommended.

If there are concerns with either screening, a referral letter is sent via mail to the

parent/guardian with information and instructions to assist you in arranging an examination by a

hearing or vision specialist. If you need assistance with finding a provider, please contact the

health office or your child’s doctor. 

If your child has documentation of vision or hearing testing within the last 12 months, please

provide a copy of the results to the school health office. If you would like to exclude your child

from screening, please submit the request in writing to your child’s principal and the health

office.
