We attended Chapter Leadership Camp in Williams this past September. We learned so much about ourselves, how to work together as a team, and even more about what FCCLA is and what a great chapter can do. It was a great experience and we cannot wait to attend again next year!

Our Chapter Service Project this year centers on making healthy choices. To help get the word out, we participated in the community fall festival with an active game booth where the prizes were non-candy related options! We had oranges and peach cups dressed up as pumpkins, pretzel stick brooms, and green grapes disguised as spider eggs. The community participants really enjoyed the healthier alternatives and everyone loved playing the games. We were also able to raise money to help us fund our other activities for our project. Overall, this was a great success!

We were also able to attend the Fall Leadership Conference this year! It was a great experience and we really enjoyed learning in the breakout sessions. We got to have a great culinary experience at the Cheesecake Factory afterwards! Overall, this was an awesome day and we cannot wait to see what we can learn next year!

Our Chapter Service Project this year is all about making healthy choices. We decided that this shouldn't mean just in regards to food, but also regarding choices we make for our future. On the half day before Thanksgiving, we got the entire middle school involved in various escape the room challenges that gave everyone the opportunity to make futuristic healthy choices. Each challenge included riddles, different codes to unlock a phrase, and lots of teamwork! The middle school students enjoyed learning about future opportunities, and we enjoyed helping them along the way!
