Scholarships and Financial Aid are an important part of the College Planning Process. Here are some helpful links to get you started.

Marilyn Williams Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship Total:
Recipients shall receive a total of $1000 to be divided between two semesters of undergraduate studies and used toward tuition, books, or room and board. This is a nonrenewable scholarship.
Disbursement
The Williams Family shall disburse the scholarship money to Bagdad High School to be distributed to the college, university, or trade school in the recipient's name.
Application Due:
Application is due by Thursday, April 18, 2024. Applications need to be turned into the high school office.
Criteria:
1. Graduate of Bagdad High School
2. GPA of 2.5 or higher
3. Copy of Official Transcripts
4. Resume listing school, community, and volunteer activities
6. Proof of acceptance at a Secondary Educational Institute/Trade
School
7. A minimum 200-word essay explaining plans for college/trade school and how this scholarship would benefit the student.
*Preference will be given to students attending Yavapai College.

Freeport-McMoRan awards scholarships to dependent children (as defined in the FM Scholarship Guidelines below) of full-time, active employees, as well as all expatriates or third country nationals on a U.S. payroll. Transferred employees on temporary assignments are not eligible; however, they remain eligible for their home country programs. (ISTS) and complete an online application for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Table Top Telephone Company Scholarship
Table Top Telephone Company would like to give back to our
community and extend Scholarship opportunities to local High School students
who live within our company’s exchanges. Our scholarships will be in the
amount of $1,000.
The scholarship criteria is:
1. Student must live within our Company’s exchange
2. Student must be a senior and or graduating in 2024
3. Student must attend an accredited 2/4 year colleges in the
United States
Typically, we awarded half of the award at the first semester
(after receiving evidence of enrollment documents) and the second half of the
award the second semester (again, after receiving evidence of enrollment
documents). The second half of the scholarship is paid out for the second
semester/quarter and the student must have a B average.
4. Student must complete entire application. All completed
applications can be turned into Di'Ana Mesquita at dianam@tabletoptel.com, we
have a panel that will review and chose the final applicant
2024 RALPH HOOKER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Candidates are to complete the attached application and submit it together with additional information:
1) A recent photograph of the applicant.
2) A statement of not more than 300 words prepared by the applicant in his/her own handwriting with the following information:
• summarizing personal activities at school and community; your impact on other people
• personal accomplishments
• objectives for further education and the potential impact to society
• your most important goal in life
3) A letter of not more than 200 words from a parent or other guardian having knowledge of the facts, presenting a picture of the family situation and showing the applicant’s need of financial assistance to continue school.
4) A copy of your high school transcripts showing all grades received.
5) One letter of endorsement from responsible person not related to the applicant, who have had the opportunity personally to observe the applicant and who can give a worthwhile opinion of the character, industry, purposefulness, disposition, and general worthiness of the applicant.

Due to the pandemic, The YAVAPAI COUNTY MOUNTED SHERIFF’S POSSE will be awarding an undetermined number of scholarships of $1,000.00 each to deserving Seniors graduating from a Yavapai County High School.
Recipients will receive a check for $1,000.00 at time of award.
Scholarships are to be used at a University, Junior College, or Trade School of the recipient’s choice.

7. A minimum 100-word essay about what you love most about the outdoors, and any outdoor activities or hobbies you enjoy.
The Republican Women of Prescott awards Scholarships each year. Awards are based on meeting all qualification criteria:
High School Senior
· A senior graduating in the 2023-2024 academic year
· Attend a high school in the Quad Cities area (and Bagdad)
· Home-Schooled students in accredited programs living in above areas
· Either one parent/guardian must be a registered Republican since September 2023 or the student, if over 18 years old, must be a registered Republican
· The student must be a U S. Citizen and Arizona resident

All parts of the RWOP Application Packet MUST be postmarked, or emailed (time-stamped), no later than Friday, February 23, 2024.
Selected candidates MUST be available for an interview with the RWOP Scholarship Committee on Thursday, March 21, 2024.

The Amalia Lopez Memorial Literacy Scholarship Committee would like to award scholarships to high school seniors attending Bagdad High School (“BHS”) and alumni of BHS who demonstrate scholastic achievement, leadership skills and community involvement in the local Bagdad area.
Eligibility & Application Requirements
GPA 2.0 and above
Plan to attend a 2- or 4-year college, university, vocational-technical institute, or military academy.
Awards are contingent upon high school graduation and acceptance into approved post-secondary institution, including providing proof of registration/enrollment and copy of a college/university/school/academy acceptance letter.
Demonstrate leadership ability.
Community involvement and extracurricular activities
Submit a short essay on how important literacy is and how it will bring success to you
Must have graduated or will graduate from Bagdad High School
How to Apply
Obtain a scholarship packet including an application by seeing the Bagdad High School Counselor.
Arrange for a Letter of Recommendation (instructions provided in packet)
Arrange for Official Transcripts & Verification form (see packet for guidance)
Submit completed scholarship applications by April 30, 2024.

The scholarship contest is an excellent opportunity for college-bound Bagdad High School seniors and BHS Alumni to receive funding for furthering their education goals.
Award Distribution
· Awards will be announced at the Bagdad High School Honors and Awards Convocation followed by a letter.
· Multiple scholarships in the amount of $500 or greater may be awarded each year.
· Awards will be paid directly to recipient’s designated university, college, vocational school, or military academy by August 15.
This Scholarship award was created in 2024
In honor the memory of longtime Bagdad resident Amalia Lopez
and to provide assistance to future Bagdad High School graduates
in their pursuit of literacy and higher education
so, they can continue to have a positive impact upon the world.
Arizona Milk Scholarship
Arizona dairy farmers are offering students the chance to win an $8,000, $6,000, or $4,000 scholarship by simply creating and sharing a "Reel" Milk Moment video, lasting 30-seconds or less, featuring their favorite dairy product(s).
Scholarship awards may be used to attend any Arizona university, college or community college. Funds are issued to the university attended by the student (in Arizona), and applied toward expenses incurred in achieving their educational goals.

Why is the FAFSA important?
If your student is interested in receiving any grants, scholarships, work study, or student loans to help assist with paying for higher education, then FAFSA is important. The information that is completed through the FAFSA is sent to colleges and universities in order to assist with admissions and merit scholarships. Check with the individual schools your family is interested in to see if the FAFSA is required for admission.
What information is needed to complete the FAFSA?
Your Social Security Number
Your Alien Registration Number (if you are not a U.S. citizen)
Bank statements and records of investments (if applicable)
Records of untaxed income (if applicable)
An FSA ID to sign electronically.
Your federal income tax returns, W-2s, and other records of money earned. (Note: You may be able to transfer your federal tax return information into your FAFSA using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool.)
